This policy covers MB 2.0, an internal application built and operated by 3CTech Ltd. for its own business use.
Who this applies to
MB 2.0 is not a product offered to the public. It is used by 3CTech Ltd. staff to read 3CTech’s own business records. If you are not a 3CTech Ltd. employee, MB 2.0 holds no account for you and there is nothing here for you to sign up to.
What MB 2.0 reads from QuickBooks
With the account owner’s explicit authorisation, MB 2.0 reads the following from 3CTech Ltd.’s own QuickBooks Online company file:
Customers — names and account identifiers
Invoices — document numbers, dates, due dates, totals and balances
Payments — amounts, dates, and which invoices each payment was applied to
Credit memos and other transactions that change an invoice balance
It reads this to reconcile 3CTech’s books against its service records and bank evidence, so that a customer who has already paid is not asked for money again.
What MB 2.0 does not do
It never writes to QuickBooks. MB 2.0 cannot create, change or delete an invoice, a payment, a customer, or anything else in the company file. This is enforced in the software itself, not by policy alone: the QuickBooks connection is read-only by construction and is verified on every build.
It requests read access to accounting data only. It does not request or hold payment-processing permission.
It does not sell, rent, share or disclose this data to anyone. There are no third-party recipients, no analytics providers, and no advertising.
It does not read personal data belonging to 3CTech’s customers beyond what appears on their own invoices and payment records — the same information already held in 3CTech’s accounting system.
Where the data is held
Data read from QuickBooks is stored on Microsoft Azure infrastructure in the Canada Central region, under 3CTech Ltd.’s own tenancy. Access requires a Microsoft work account belonging to 3CTech Ltd.; the application is not reachable without signing in.
How long it is kept
Data is retained while the QuickBooks connection is active, so that reconciliation can compare today’s figures against previous readings. Disconnecting MB 2.0 — from within QuickBooks, or from the application’s own disconnect page — removes its access tokens and ends its ability to read the company file.
Security
Access tokens are stored on 3CTech-controlled infrastructure and are never transmitted to any third party. Every request to QuickBooks is made over HTTPS. The application refuses to follow redirects and will not send its credentials to any address other than Intuit’s own.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be published on this page with a revised date.
